Back To The Future Inspired An Animated Series On CBS
Back To The Future is one of the greatest sci-fi movies lauded by both critics and audiences. Its popularity grew so much that it was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry. The movie released in 1985 received two more sequels that were released in 1989 and 1990. Back To The Future also inspired an animated series that aired on CBS from September 1991 to December 1992 and had a total of two seasons. Later, citing low ratings, the series was canceled by the network.

Back To The Future Co-Creators Deny A Remake Possibility
Although fans would love to see the movies return in any form like a live-action adaptation for TV or an animated series, the franchise’s co-creators have denied any possibilities. They stated that no new movies will be developed while they are alive. However, if ever Universal plans a remake, Michael J. Fox, who was cast as Marty McFly, already has ideas of what he wants the remake to be like.

Back in October 2022, the actor said, “I actually had this thought that if they did the movie again, they should do it with a girl as Marty. There’s something about it that connects with people on every level. I just feel like it will come around again.” Fans who wish to binge on sci-fi nostalgia can stream the movies on Peacock.
