General Hospital: Sonya Eddy Dead At 55
Octavia Lenora Spencer took to Instagram just an hour ago to inform her 1.5M followers that her good friend Sonya Eddy passed away last night.
She penned in her Instagram caption: “The world lost another creative angel. Her legions of @generalhospitalabc fans will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones, friends, and fans!”
With her death being so recent, details surrounding Sonya Eddy’s cause of death has not been made public.
GH Fans React To Her Passing
Fans of General Hospital poured into the comments of Sonya Eddy’s final Instagram post as well as Octavia Lenora Spencer’s tribute to her dear friend. Today Show star Al Roker’s wife Deborah Roberts was among one of the first to pop into the comments explaining how devestated she was to learn of Sonya’s passing.
Sadly, it had been a few months since Sonya posted on her Instagram with her final post being published in August of this year. Fans of General Hospital have already begun pouring into the comments with variations of “rest in peace.”
