Carlin Bates & Evan Stewart Share Special Christmas Tradition
Bringing Up Bates stars Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart are sharing with fans about their special Christmas tradition. The couple and their two young kids, Layla, who will be three years old in January, and Zade, who is eight months old, went out and enjoyed a fun and festive activity. Carlin Bates & Evan Stewart enjoy a special Christmas tradition.
On her Instagram Stories on Tuesday evening, Carlin took fans along as her family went to look at Christmas lights. The 24-year-old took a selfie in the car as she wore her Christmas pajamas and a hat. She told fans that they “made it to the Christmas lights” but the kids fell asleep in the backseat. She also shared a snap of the gorgeous lights outside of her window.
Carlin Bates then posted a photo of Layla in her car seat, looking out the window at the lights. She appears to be mesmerized by the beautiful lights. Carlin said, “So glad we woke her up and she didn’t miss it…We made the best memories!”

Also on her Instagram Stories, Carlin Bates shared some of her family’s pictures from the past few Christmases. She shared a couple of snaps from this year, which include her, Layla, Zade, and Evan. The mother of two said, “Every year we get in our pjs, bundle up, grab a hot chocolate, and look at Christmas lights. As for the photos, they get a little harder to recreate each year…but the memories get sweeter.”
This year is extra special because it’s Zade’s first Christmas. And with Layla getting older, she’s starting to enjoy these traditions more and more.
Then, Carlin shared the recreated pictures from 2020, 2021, and 2022. In all of the photos, they are wearing matching pajamas and striking the same poses they did the year before. You can check them all out below.
