Hard to swallow news for football fans as legendary Mississippi State University coach Mike Leach has been hospitalized and it isn’t looking good. According to TMZ, the football coach is reported to be in critical condition and fighting for his life. What happened to him and have there been any updates? Keep reading for the scoop.

MSU football coach Mike Leach rushed to hospital

MSU officials issued a statement yesterday revealing that Mike Leach suffered a “personal health issue” while he was in the comfort of his own home. Sadly, this health issue resulted in him being rushed to a hospital located in Jackson, Mississippi.

Unfortunately, MSU officials have not provided any additional details or updates on the situation. So, no one is really sure what the medical emergency was that sent Mike Leach into the hospital at 61 years old.

Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger, however, has taken to Twitter to confirm the coach was in “critical condition.” Bulldogs reporter also took to Twitter to note that Mike Leach was in need of a “miracle” right now.

Many of the top names in the college football world have taken to social media to send up prayers for Mike Leach as the man is considered to be a legend. Per TMZ, Mike has been credited as the one responsible for creating the “Air Raid” offense technique.

On Twitter, the love for this coach is apparent as most are in agreement they can’t picture a world without Mike Leach and refuse to even try.
