When asked if the Season 1 finale will have a cliffhanger, producer Roopesh Parekh noted, “I think that we complete this story, but we absolutely leave a lot of angles open for the future.”
Willow Is Very Different From Indiana Jones Or Star Wars
Parekh has helmed several projects including the popular title, His Dark Materials. However, Willow marks his first time working with Lucasfilm. Sharing his excitement about working with the production house, Parekh said, “Oh my God. When I got the phone call, I thought it was a prank. No, it’s been so wonderful. I think Lucasfilm, the heart of everything they do is storytelling, innovation, and technological advancement. And when this script landed, this was all of those things in one.”

He also shared his insights about Willow and noted, “And Willow, I think always stood out for me as a young boy watching it. It was always so different from Star Wars or Indiana Jones. I love to pull for those, of course. There was just something great about this unlikely hero stumbling, falling, getting himself back up, and learning magic and sorcery and it just makes it fun.”
What Is Disney+’s Willow Series About?
Filming for the Willow series started in June 2021 in Wales with Dragon Studios near Llanharan. The first trailer for the series was released on May 26 at the Star Wars Celebration event. The series serves as a sequel to the movie and trails the people of Tir Asleen decades after the events of the movie.
