‘Warrior Nun’ Fans Rally On Social Media, Demand Season 3
Netflix’s Warrior Nun has had a successful run for both Seasons 1 and 2. The series had no advertising budget, yet it shot up to become one of the most popular shows on the streamer. Season 2 dropped on November 10, 2022, and has a perfect 100% critics score. Warrior Nun Was Earlier Developed As A Feature Film
The fantasy drama series is created by Simon Barry. It is based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala authored by Ben Dunn. It was earlier developed as a feature film adaptation. However, later on, the idea was re-imagined as a TV series for Netflix. The series debuted on Netflix on July 2, 2020, with generally positive reviews.

Warrior Nun is a story of a 19-year-old woman. She wakes up in a morgue with a new lease on life and a divine artifact embedded in her back. She also discovers that she is now a part of the ancient Order of the Cruciform Sword. As per CBR.com, the titular character has been tasked with fighting demons on Earth. Not just that, powerful forces representing both hell and heaven want to find and control her.
Will Warrior Nun Have A Third Season?
Following Warrior Nun’s Season 2 premiere, fans on Twitter are demanding that Netflix should renew the series for a third season. Some fans are attempting to manifest a renewal. However, others stated that the lack of certainty for another season has ruined their watching experience. Netflix is yet to confirm whether the series will be renewed for Season 3.

The second season made it to the fifth position on Netflix’s global top ten for the November 14 to November 20 week. It bagged a total of 27,740,000 viewed hours. Right after the release of Season 2, the debut season also ranked eighth on the list with a total of 20,100,000 viewed hours.
Warrior Nun Was Third-Most Watched TV Series Globally
Despite not having a promotional budget, the series became Netflix’s third most-watched TV series globally. This happened in the first week of Season 2’s release. Back in July 2020, creator Simon Barry revealed that he and his creative team started working on the second season even before it was officially greenlit by Netflix.

“We had ideas out of the first season writing room that we thought would be interesting for a second season if we were lucky enough to get one. Yes, the writers and I discussed at length many ideas for Season 2 and we look forward to being able to implement them,” he explained.
