‘Impractical Jokers’: Who Should Replace Joe Gatto
Impractical Jokers fans are wondering who should replace Joe Gatto. They’ve given some ideas ever since his departure. The popular prank show premiered on TruTV in 2011. Around the time, it starred four men who go by the names Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano. They challenge each other to a dare in each episode.
The cast member who has the lowest number of dares has to embarrass themselves in public as dictated by the other members of the group. The long-running series currently has over 200 episodes. What makes this show stand out from prank shows on YouTube is the familiarity with the Impractical Jokers cast. Each of them shares their own clever and creative pranks.
What happened to Joe Gatto?
In case you haven’t watched Impractical Jokers for some time now, Joe Gatto shocked fans when he announced his departure from the show earlier this year. He wants to “focus on being the best father” to his two kids. This came on the heels of Joe’s split from Bessy.
Some fans think that Joe is irreplaceable. They don’t feel that anyone else can fill his shoes. Impractical Jokers isn’t going to end just because he left the series. It’s one of the highest-rated shows on TruTV and Comedy Central. They want to keep that well-running machine going.
Fans are looking back at the show with some of its reruns. Sometimes, the cable network will air a throwback episode that doesn’t feature Joe with the guys. In that case, a guest star will fill in for him. Some fans are taking notes on how well these guest stars interact with the group and could provide a solid replacement for Joe.
Impractical Jokers guest stars — from best to worst
The worst one on the list according to Looper.com is Method Man. The rapper is best known for his work with the Wu-Tang Clang. He would stick out among the Impractical Jokers cast because of his serious persona. Some fans even complained that he wasn’t even that funny when he appeared on the show.
Chris Jericho just ended his run on The Masked Singer. However, he ended up as the second worst on the list of replacements. The famous wrestler didn’t contribute during his episode. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make for a great replacement.
The top two best replacements for Joe are Eric AndrĂ© and Rob Riggle. Eric is the host of The Eric AndrĂ© Show. The comedian loves to prank people. He’s also not afraid to do crazy stunts in public.
Meanwhile, Rob is one of the funniest men in Hollywood. He’s appeared in hit comedies such as Dumb and Dumber To, Furry Vengeance, The Hangover, and 21 Jump Street. His comedic range would greatly contribute to Impractical Jokers. Even most fans agreed that Rob’s episodes were some of the best in the show’s history.
