‘Impractical Jokers’ Star QUITS: Blames Personal Issues, Tells Fans ‘Sorry’
One Impractical Jokers star dropped a bombshell on fans as we entered the year 2022 by announcing his decision to quit. The star kicked off his very lengthy announcement by telling his fans and followers sorry. He cited personal issues as the reason why he had to walk away. Impractical Jokers has been on the air for 9 seasons. They even released an hour and a half-long movie in 2020. The truTV and Comedy Central series has amassed a massive following over the last decade. So, it is no surprise fans are not happy to learn a member of the cast has decided to quit. Who is it that’s walking away from the show?
It was Joe Gatto that took to his Instagram account this morning to tell fans he would be walking away from the show. He apologized for the unusually serious post on his Instagram. Turns out, this wasn’t the only piece of information he was sharing with fans. Joe Gatto and his wife were splitting up. He was in a situation where he would need to navigate co-parenting while separating from his wife. Joe decided he would not have time to focus on the series and navigate the new chapter in his life.
Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away. Bessy and I have decided to amicably part ways, so now I need to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”
Will the series continue without him?
Joe Gatto tells his followers that next to his family, his relationships with Murr, Q and Sal are of extreme importance to him. It is his hope that Impractical Jokers will continue for Season 10 without him. He has faith his friends will go on to continue to make the world laugh without him beside them. Joe adds that the four cast members aren’t the only ones who deserve credits. He explains there’s an entire crew behind Impractical Jokers and he appreciates all of them.
Joe Gatto proceeds to thank fans of the series for allowing him the opportunity to entertain them. He concludes his post by promising his fans to find new and exciting ways to entertain them after he works through the personal struggles in his life right now.
