Inside The ‘DWTS’ Cast’s Special Thanksgiving Get-Together
DWTS may be over for the year, but that’s not stopping the professional dancers from hanging out. Many of the dancers have formed incredibly close bonds over the years and even spend holidays with one another. This Thanksgiving, they all gathered together for a holiday meal.
The DWTS cast members are so much more than just coworkers
Sharna Burgess didn’t join the cast of DWTS Season 31, but she frequently showed up in the audience to cheer on her friends. However, she’s worked with the show for so long that many of the cast members have become like family to her.
The season may be over, but the cast definitely isn’t sick of one another yet. Sharna and several of the crew joined together to give thanks during the holiday weekend. Even reigning champ Mark Ballas made it!
“So grateful for yesterday and getting to share it with these special people. … Thank you @mrsangelaribeiro1 and @therealalfonsoribeiro for always hosting and opening your home to us over the years. This year felt extra special,” Sharna shared in a sweet Instagram post. “There is so much to be grateful for that would make this post a novel so I’ll leave it with this.”
The Australian dancer went on to say that she was so incredibly grateful for all the friendships and bonds she formed with her castmates over the years. She left most of her family behind when she left Australia, so the DWTS cast really became her new family.
“I am grateful for all of it. The good the bad and the ugly. The highs and lows and the laughs and the tears. The rock bottom and the crawling out of it. All of it has lead me here to this moment in my life where I am truly happy, present and living with abundant love everyday,” she continued.
Fans loved seeing the crew so happy together
Fans loved the photo and were so happy to see that the DWTS cast really does get along so well in real life.
“It’s one thing to work together but it’s so special that you choose to spend holidays together too. I love it! Happy Holidays! ❤️” one fan wrote in the comments.
Based on the photo, it appears that most Utah-based dancers couldn’t make it. However, they likely joined their friends in spirit.
