What is Hallmark’s The Most Colorful Time Of The Year About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Ryan (Russell) is an elementary school science teacher. One of his students, Bailey (Weiss) has a mother who is an optometrist. Michelle (Bowden) gives eye exams at the school gymnasium. It is there that she notices that Ryan doesn’t see color properly. He doesn’t notice the bright and colorful holiday decorations.
Therefore, after she is done giving eye exams to the kids, she has Ryan sit down so she can examine his eyes. He doesn’t stay long, and Michelle thinks he may be colorblind. Eventually, she finds out that this is true.
Now, Michelle has a solution. She gets some special glasses for him, but he refuses. However, Bailey won’t have any of this.
Sneaking the glasses into her backpack, she leaves them on her science teacher’s desk. She wrote a note that she also left with the glasses. It read, “These glasses exist because of science, and taught me that science should give us hope.”
Later, Michelle and Bailey see Ryan walk into a building with holiday decorations. He has the glasses in his hand, and eventually, he puts them on. They can see how transformed he is by the first time he really sees color.
“His reaction is significant and emotional. He can’t believe how beautiful everything is! Michelle takes it upon herself to introducing him to the world of color, setting off a series of adventures.”
