Netflix’s Charlie Cox Series ‘Treason’ Reveals First Look
Marvel’s Daredevil star Charlie Cox isn’t just gearing up for his reboot series Daredevil: Born Again, slated to premiere on Disney+. He will also play the lead in Netflix’s upcoming limited series Treason which recently shared its official poster for fans. The first-look pictures feature the supporting cast members alongside a teaser hinting what this espionage thriller is going to be about. So, when does the series premiere on Netflix? Netflix’s Treason Is Penned By Bridge Of Spies Writer
Apart from Charlie Cox playing the lead, the series also features Oona Chaplin, Olga Kurylenko, Tacy Ifeachor, and Ciaran Hinds. Thanks to his role in Daredevil, Charlie Cox’s association with Treason has got it much-needed attention. Fans now await the premiere of this limited series as a chance to see Charlie in action before Daredevil: Born Again hits Disney+ in 2024.

The series is penned by Matt Charman who also wrote Tom Hanks’ popular thriller series Bridge Of Spies. With a tagline like “Question Everything, Suspect Everyone”, Treason is surely setting itself up for expectations of twists and turns the audience surely won’t see coming. Given that it is a limited series, viewers won’t have to worry about waiting for another season to find the end of the tale.
What Is Netflix’s Treason About?
Treason follows Adam Lawrence, trained and groomed by the MI6. With a well-established career, nothing can seem to stop him. However, after the past catches up with him in the form of a Russian spy named Kara, he is forced to question every circumstance and every individual in his life.

A triangular relationship forms between Kara, Adam, and his wife, Maddy. The three try to navigate diplomatic and political relationships while trying to expose one another’s secrets. They do all this while hanging onto their personal lives and keeping safe the ones they love the most.
When Does Treason Premiere On Netflix?
The limited series will also star Ciaran Hinds who is known for playing Zack Snyder in Justice League. As per ComicBook, the series will have a total of five episodes and premiere on December 26 on the streamer. It was earlier decided to have a total of six episodes but later was reduced to five. Valery Ryan and Foz Allan are executives producing Treason alongside Louise Hooper from The Witcher fame helming the project. The series started filming in the UK starting January/February 2022 and wrapped in August 2022.

Earlier it was expected that the series won’t hit the streamer until 2023. However, it was recently confirmed that the series premieres next month on a special day. For Netflix viewers living in the United Kingdom or Canada, it is Boxing Day.
