‘American Idol’ Lauren Alaina Engaged To Cameron Arnold
American Idol Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina took to Facebook a few hours ago to announce she was officially engaged as her best friend, Cameron Arnold, popped the question.
The singer-songwriter penned excitedly as she looked forward to taking Cameron’s name and being his wife: “BRIDE be dang’d, y’all. My best friend asked me to marry him, and I announced it at my favorite place in the world, Grand Ole Opry. I didn’t know happiness and excitement like this existed. I can’t wait to be Mrs. Cameron Scott Arnold.”
Her exciting announcement came equipped with TONS of photos as she documented the magical moment. In one photo, Lauren was sitting on Cameron’s lap. Her eyes were squeezed shut and her mouth was gaping open wide as her entire face beamed with joy.
In the caption she attached to her post, she admitted she had no idea happiness and excitement to this degree existed.

As those who follow the American Idol alum’s love life know, she debuted her relationship with Cameron back in August of 2021.
I didn’t think this year could get any better, and yesterday, I got asked into another family. After he proposed to me, I said, ‘You have to come out on this stage at the Grand Ole Opry!’ Make some noise for my future husband, everybody!”
Cameron proceeded to appear on stage and gave Lauren the sweetest kiss before she continued to speak to the audience. She was quick to call attention to it being huge that Cameron even walked out on the stage as he preferred to be in the shadows.
She explained: “He did not want to do that… He likes to be in the shadows, and he was like, ‘You’re not making me come out there,’ and I said, ‘You are not, not getting a picture in the circle.’ So, we negotiated, and he came out for the picture.”

She’s Had A Pretty Rocky Dating History
In July 2018, Lauren Alaina got engaged to her high school sweetheart, Alex Hopkins. In January of the following her, the two decided it wasn’t going to work. For months later, she started dating a comedian named John Crist. Lauren and John broke up in September 2019. After that, she decided she wasn’t interested in dating anymore. Though, she had plenty of country boys sliding into her DMs now that she was available.
“I think all the country boys are cute. And a lot of them have reached out. But I’m not, like, interested in dating anyone right now,” she told US Weekly exclusively back in October 2019. At the time, she was working hard as a member of the Dancing With The Stars cast.
I mean, a lot of people are reaching out and being very supportive, so that’s nice. But I don’t need a boyfriend. Literally, this week, I’m dating the samba. And we’re trying to work through some things already. I’m dating the samba right now, and he wants to move a whole lot faster than me. My feet are like, ‘Um, not sure we can do this!
As DWTS fans recall, she ended up coming in fourth place on Season 28 with Gleb Savchenko by her side.
