‘The View’: Whoopi Goldberg Unleashes Inner Beast On Co-Hosts

Whoopi Goldberg unleashed her inner best on her co-hosts. The comedian had enough of one man’s story during a discussion about workplace flirting and dating dealbreakers. The ABC talk show took a serious turn when Whoopi shut down any excuses for him. The Till actress, who turns 68 on Sunday, tried to interrupt them. Read on to learn more and see what happened next.

The View moderator goes on a fueled rant

It all started when The View panel discussed a story about a man who shared a post on Reddit about being rejected at work. He asked out his female colleague, who turned him down. Whoopi Goldberg made fun of the man and said “boo hoo.” Then she shared the story with the rest of the panel.

“A woman tried to let a coworker down easy after he asked her out several times, took to Reddit after she finally told him she was just not attracted to him,” Whoopi Goldberg told the round table. “He took it really hard, told her manager to reassign him so he didn’t have to see her anymore, and said that she should have lied to him, rather than say she didn’t find him attractive.”

According to the moderator, the woman told the man “twice” that she didn’t like him. He felt differently simply because she smiled and was nice to him. Whoopi Goldberg was heated up about this story. She asked the panel what the woman should’ve done in that case.

Sunny Hostin admitted that saying a “little white lie” is “okay.” She feels the woman could’ve told the man that she doesn’t “feel the chemistry.” Whoopi didn’t like Sunny’s answer and asked: “Why does not ‘no’ work?” Sunny said that the woman still could’ve sounded “nice” when she told him that.

Whoopi Goldberg gets irate during a heated debate

Newcomer Ana Navarro wanted to know why the situation wasn’t regarded as “sexual harassment and toxic workplace.” Fellow newbie Alyssa Farah Griffin explained that “some men have very fragile egos.” Still, Whoopi Goldberg wasn’t happy as she said: “Tough!”

“We say it all the time, no is no. You should not make it worse,” Whoopi Goldberg said during her rant. “If he or she says no, just find somebody else, but to move and be all dramatic, grow up!”

This comes after Whoopi told Alyssa and Sunny to “tone it down” in a previous show. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the two got into a bitter discussion about politics. Whoopi had enough of the two co-hosts arguing with each other and tried to shut them down. Unfortunately for her, Sunny and Alyssa continued to argue until she took the show into a commercial break.
