Michelle & Jim Bob Duggar Prep For Jinger’s Controversial Book
Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are currently prepping for the release of Jinger Vuolo’s controversial book. The Duggar daughter announced Monday that she is releasing a memoir titled Becoming Free Indeed. She revealed that the book tells her personal story as she left the IBLP (Institute of Basic Life Principles), which her family is still a part of.
Through this journey, she remained a Christian while delving into what she learned about Christianity as a child. This book is expected to expose some of the secrets about the Duggar family’s religion. The memoir is set to hit shelves on January 31, 2023.
So far, Jinger has gotten some support from friends and family, based on what they said on social media. Amy King, Deanna Duggar, and Jill Dillard all commented on Jinger’s post and applauded her. Bringing Up Bates stars Carlin Bates Stewart and Esther Bates liked the post, as did Joy Forsyth.
Now, details about Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s reactions to the book are surfacing. Keep reading to find out how they’re preparing.
Insider reveals Jinger Vuolo’s parents are preparing for the book’s release.
A source told InTouch that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are “bracing themselves” for Jinger Vuolo’s book release.
The source added, “Jim Bob and Michelle aren’t thrilled by Jinger’s book coming out, but they are hoping for the best. They’re not sure of all the topics she’ll cover, but they have prayed about it and hope that it’s honest, respectful and doesn’t dredge up too much of their family troubles.”
According to the insider, the former Counting On stars are worried about what could be revealed in the new memoir. They’re particularly concerned about “stories about their faith, raising their large family, and especially the dark Josh incident.”
The source claimed that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar really don’t want any more negative attention than they’ve already gotten. But they’re concerned that Jinger’s book could send more hate their way.
Did Michelle & Jim Bob Duggar see this coming?
For years, fans have wondered if any of the Duggar kids would write tell-all books. Some thought that Derick and Jill Dillard would be the first to do so. Cousin Amy King also seems to know a lot of the family’s secrets. So fans speculated she would eventually release one. But it sounds like Jim Bob and Michelle weren’t expecting this.

The insider told InTouch, “It’s no secret that Jim Bob and Michelle would rather all their children keep family matters private. A tell-all book from one of their own isn’t something they ever worried about, until now.”
It’s unclear if Jinger shared any information about her book with her family members ahead of the official announcement on Monday.
