Hallmark Media Signs Multi-Picture Deal With Hunter King
Young And The Restless alum, Hunter King, just signed a big deal with Hallmark. What do we know about this contract?
Hunter King Signs Deal With Hallmark Media
On Thursday, Deadline reported that Hunter King signed a deal with Hallmark Media. This is a multi-picture deal with the feel-good network. This means that the Give Me Your Eyes star is committed to making several movies with the network.
Lisa Hamilton Daly, the Executive Vice President of Hallmark Media shared, “Hunter King brings such a spark to each role she brings to life and has been a wonderful addition to the Hallmark family.”
We’re thrilled to continue to work with Hunter and know viewers will be completely charmed by her performance in A Royal Corgi Christmas.
Fans of Young And The Restless will know Hunter as Summer Newman. She starred on the CBS soap from 2012-2022. In addition, she starred in Life In Pieces, along with Colin Hanks, Betsy Brandt, and Thomas Sadoski.
The 29-year-old is the youngest actress to sign a big contract with the feel-good network. She has brought freshness to the network and has become an instant hit.
Young And The Restless Alum’s Hallmark Movies
Hunter King starred in her first Hallmark movie in June, along with Beau Mirchoff, in Hidden Gems. Next, in October, she and Rhiannon Fish starred in Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
Although the network has not confirmed anything, it is assumed that there will be more of the new mystery series. This is the first time that Hallmark has ever had sisters as sleuths.
Moreover, they were so careful to cast, that they did do a chemistry read with the two.
Rhiannon Fish told Rachel Wagner from the Hallmarkies Podcast that the two were left alone to chat and pretty soon, they were laughing and getting along, just like sisters. They knew this was going to be a winning team.
How unusual is this? Wagner asks this question often. However, rarely do the leads in any Hallmark movie do a chemistry read. However, they did with When Calls The Heart with the leads playing against Erin Krakow.
Hunter King’s Next Hallmark Movie Is A Royal Corgi Christmas
Most importantly, Hunter King is starring in the Countdown To Christmas movie A Royal Corgi Christmas. This will air on Friday, November 25, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on Hallmark. She stars with Jordan Renzo (The Spanish Princess, Class) in this Royal Christmas movie.
According to IMDb, “Prince Edmond, to ingratiate himself with his mother, gives him ‘Mistletoe,’ which after several disasters turns to Cecily, an expert in dogs. They will discover that love can grow in unexpected places, questioning what they really want.”
