Michael Strahan admitted listening to others’ opinions
This Instagram post comes after Michael Strahan admitted that he used to listen to others’ opinions. In August, the former athlete dealt with trolled comments. One person claimed that everyone in the U.S. hates him. Michael took that negative moment and turned it into a positive one.
The 50-year-old made an appearance on the I Am Athlete podcast alongside Adam “Pacman” Jones, Brandon Marshall, and LeSean McCoy and talked about his new career after retiring from football. Michael admitted that some people only saw him as a football player.
There was a movie producer who informed him that those people are only going to see him as a footballer. That’s when Michael Strahan created his new image and allowed others to see how he sees himself. He ended up becoming someone who could do “different things.”
“They are only going to see you as you see yourself!” Powerful moment for me to realize I needed to create what I wanted to be. This could be for anyone who feels like they are trapped by the opinions of others. pic.twitter.com/LXj7c9VOxJ
