‘Rick And Morty’ Turns Up Jitters With Spooky Claymation Short
Popular science-fiction animated sitcom Rick And Morty is tuning it up with more spooky content this season. The Cartoon Network series is planning a nightmarish claymation short which will surely be something different from what viewers are used to. This Halloween special animation is titled Summer Sleepover and its imperfectly perfect claymation animation will send shivers down your spine. So, when does this short release? When Does Rick And Morty Claymation Air On Adult Swim?
Created by British claymation and animation filmmaker Lee Hardcastle, this short will air at midnight ET/PT on October 30 on Adult Swim. Lee is best known for his work in the 2012 comedy horror anthology movie titled The ABC’s Of Death. As seen in the trailer of Summer Sleepover, an unexpected guest adds life to Summer Smith’s sleepover party.

However, this isn’t the first time Hardcastle has paired up with Rick And Morty. Before the premiere of Season 5, Hardcastle created the Hereditary spoof for the animated series. The July 2021 claymation movie paid tribute to Charlie’s death scene from the movie. As confirmed by CBR.com, fans that wish to watch the 2021 claymation can do so on Swimpedia’s YouTube channel.
Rick And Morty Season 6 Returns After A Hiatus
This Halloween-themed claymation short comes just weeks before Rick And Morty Season 6 returns after a hiatus. On October 10, Adult Swim’s Twitter account announced its hiatus without giving any specific reason. The tweet encouraged fans to expand their minds ahead of its comeback. The last episode that aired on October 9 was Juricksic Mort after which the show is now slated to return on November 20, 2022.

Given this unexpected hiatus, fans are now worried that the show will be canceled after Season 6. However, the show’s future isn’t in jeopardy. The show’s producers Scott Marder and James Siciliano confirmed that they are currently working on two additional seasons of Rick And Morty. These two seasons will have a total of 20 episodes. Season 6 started airing on September 4, 2022, and has currently aired six episodes.
When Does Rick And Morty Claymation Release Globally?
The latest season trails the characters down on their luck and is completely worn out. They are bouncing back for more adventures or getting swept by unpredictability. Rick And Morty premiered in 2013 and features co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. For the global audience, the Summer Sleepover claymation will debut on HBO Max on October 31. Fans can also check it out on Adult Swim’s YouTube channel. Season 6 is slated to return at 11 p.m. ET on November 20, 2022.
