‘GMA’ Ginger Zee Updates Fans On Health Post Medical Diagnosis
Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee recently updated her fans on her health days after opening up about her Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis. The weathercaster has been open about her struggles with mental health. She has always done her best to raise awareness on the matter and to aid others in any way she can.
Ginger Zee Talks About The Darkest Point Of Her Life
On Tuesday, the TV host posted a video on Instagram talking about battling depression and anorexia. Taking a look at a picture of her younger self, she shared how at the point she was at her darkest point in life. The 41-year-old also added that it “hurts her inside to see.”

With the clip captioned, “World Mental Health Day,” the mother of two discussed with viewers her struggles from a very young age.

As per The Sun, she also revealed that she had been diagnosed with both narcolepsy and anorexia. In the video, she addressed, “Just because you don’t see something physically wrong with someone doesn’t mean that they are well.”
“Healing is constant maintenance… [it is a] lifelong workout of your brain,” she concluded.

GMA Ginger Zee Awarded For Her Climate News Coverage
On Tuesday, Ginger also posted a special picture on Instagram of her accepting a Deadline Award. The Society Of Professional Journalists awarded her for her dedication to covering climate news. The meteorologist has been open about her health battles.
Sharing with her fans, earlier this week, she wrote, “Hi, I’m Ginger. I’m the Chief Meteorologist at ABC News, managing editor of the Climate Unit, a wife, mother, and so many other things.”

“Today, on World Mental Health Day, it is so important for you to know that 11 years ago, I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder after checking in at Columbia’s psych ward. It’s also important to know that I have found healing and that you deserve to too,” she added.
Ginger also mentioned that she had been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and an eating disorder. She had to work on these issues every day for the past 11 years. She also described that being honest with herself about the issues she is dealing with has helped her a lot. The weathercaster mentioned that she has been open to accepting her imperfections and therapy. Moreover, it has only made things better through the years.
