‘The View’ Execs Hiding Joy Behar Illness, Where Is She?
Joy Behar has been away from the talk show. This has fans wondering if The View execs are hiding her illness. Some are concerned about her well-being — especially as she just turned 80 years old Friday, October 7. Read on to learn more.
Missing from Monday’s The View
Fans couldn’t help but notice that Joy Behar was absent from Monday’s broadcast of The View. This comes after she took a weeklong break from the show. Some of them took to Twitter to express their concern for the redhead host. Others wondered if the show was hiding her personal health issues.
- “If Joy has covid they should just tell us.”
- “Did Joy retire and didn’t tell anyone?”
- “What’s going on with Joy? Still celebrating her birthday?”
Joy Behar is the last remaining original panelist on The View. She appeared on the show alongside Barbara Walters in 1997. Whoopi Goldberg explained Joy’s absence last week.
“Joy’s not here, she has the week off, and we are hoping she’s having a great time,” the comedian vaguely stated at the time.
It sounded like Joy Behar took a break to celebrate her 80th birthday. On the Friday, October 7 episode of The View, the panel celebrated her big day without the birthday girl. Whoopi welcomed the viewers and studio audience to the show before sending birthday wishes to the missing lady. The co-hosts and the audience clapped along.
Ana Navarro has been filling in part-time for Joy Behar. In late July, she was one of the two co-hosts announced to join Season 26 of The View. Alyssa Farah Griffin is the other co-host who ended up with a full-time position. Fans wonder if the new co-hosts will eventually replace either Joy or Whoopi.

somethings not right. Her absence was not addressed yesterday or today. They know more than they’re saying. She was to have a week off-not two.
I check every day, and if I find out Joy’s not on, I don’t watch. I like Whoopi and Sunny, but not
enough to override my dislike of the others.
