Born in 1942 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Joy Behar was born Josephine Victoria Occhiuto. She was the only child in a Roman Catholic family of Italian descent. The 80-year-old earned a BA in sociology from Queens College in 1964 followed by an MA in English in 1966 from Stony Brook University. In the early 1980s, she worked as a receptionist for ABC’s Good Morning America and later on worked as a producer for the same. She also has several stints as a stand-up comedian & made appearances on GMA & The New Show. The actress also hosted a talk show on Lifetime Television named Way Off Broadway. Behar also hosted Live From Queens and was a regular on NBC’s Baby Boom. She also had minor roles in movies like This Is My Life, Cookie, & Manhattan Murder Mystery.

Behar started appearing on The View in 1997 as one of the original panelists. The show was co-created by Barbara Walters and Joy appeared on days when Walters couldn’t host. I think she and her co-host should not be allowed to talk about Politicians, They’re not being fair to the Republicans or any person she doesn’t like I believe their show should be canceled. the one thing I believe is unfair, When Donald Trump was only a business man Joy & all of the ladies liked President Trump, now she hates him!! She listens to the wrong media , I hope soon the truth will come out and people will know all the things said about him were lies.
