‘Shark Tank’ Fans Rally Behind Mama O’s Kimchi, Demand Justice?

Shark Tank fans rallied behind Mama O’s Kimchi. They’re demanding justice for the entrepreneurs. On Friday’s broadcast of the ABC series, brand owner Kheedim Oh made an appearance with his Mama O. He revealed that he started the company with just $50 and his skateboard.

What is Mama O’s Kimchi?

Kheedim and his mom had an incredible backstory. They also made a lot of money with their money. Still, it wasn’t enough to impress the hard Sharks of Shark Tank. Shockingly, Sharks Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, and guest Kendra Scott all passed on the deal.

Their concern with the brand was that it never expanded even though it’s been around for years. Mark feels that the founders would have trouble losing control. He feels that an investor would be the best solution. Kevin noted that he doesn’t eat kimchi, so he had to bow out.

Meanwhile, Lori and Kendra enjoyed the kimchi. They couldn’t stop eating it. Yet, they both passed on the offer. Daymond was the only Shark left who was close to making an offer with the founders. He loved their story and Mama O’s warmth.

According to their Instagram bio, Mama O’s Premium Kimchi is made the “old-fashioned way in Brooklyn.” It’s the same place where Daymond John grew up before he started his FUBU brand and made his way onto Shark Tank. Fans would’ve thought he would’ve connected with them the most.

Another shot on Shark Tank?

During that episode, fans of Shark Tank took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Most of them were disappointed with the Sharks’ decision. They think Mama O’s Kimchi should be given another chance. Some of them are kimchi lovers who wanted to support them, while others who never had kimchi wanted to try it on the account of the duo.

What does Mama O’s Kimchi think?

On Sunday, October 9, Mama O’s Kimchi shared a cryptic post on Instagram. It’s a quote by the late Anthony Bourdain. The brand claims that kimchi is the future. This is their way of saying that their business will continue to grow and flourish without Shark Tank.

“Americans want kimchi. They want it on their hamburgers. It’s like when Americans started eating sushi. A huge tectonic shift. That funk. That corruption of the flesh. That’s exactly the flavor zone that we are all heading towards.”
