How Norman Reedus’ Daughter Felt About His Proposal

Norman Reedus revealed how his daughter felt about his proposal. He shared all the details of how he made it happen on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week. The 53-year-old proposed to his 46-year-old longtime girlfriend, Diane Kruger. Read on to learn more about what happened.

The couple met in 2015 on the set of the movie Sky, where they played each other’s love interest. The couple didn’t become public with their relationship until two years later. They often keep the details of their relationship private. In August 2021, The Walking Dead star proposed to his girlfriend.

Diane isn’t the type of woman who shows off her engagement ring on social media. When she attended the 2021 Met Gala, she wore a chartreuse mini dress that featured cut-out details around the waist and cape. Diane paired the look with hot pink pumps. However, it was her diamond ring that fans couldn’t stop buzzing about. It was reportedly worth around $500k.

Walking Dead star shares the details

On Tuesday, October 4, Norman Reedus appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! He spilled all the details of how their engagement happened. Fans have been waiting for months on end. He admitted that they got a reaction out of their daughter, Nova. Norman admitted that he kept the ring for a long time until the moment felt right.

He purchased the ring while he went for a motorcycle ride to Savannah, Georgia with Diane. Their trip took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, Norman Reedus couldn’t find the right time to propose. Their trip was ruined by a thunderstorm.

That’s when the actor decided it was a good time to pop the question when they returned home. He wanted to do it with their daughter hanging out with them. Norman Reedus told Jimmy that he hid the ring in his boot. He asked his daughter to get it.

That’s when he proposed to her mom. Diane was crying and so was Nova. Everybody was crying. Nova wanted to know why everyone was in tears. Diane exclaimed, “It’s happy tears!”

Norman Reedus is promoting the last episodes of The Walking Dead Season 11. When he shared the news on the set of the hit AMC series, everyone started crying. Someone brought out the drinks and another person set off “confetti canons.” The shy Hollywood star said he “gave a little speech.”
