‘DWTS’: Cheryl Ladd Is Focused On Redemption This Week
Charlie’s Angels actress Cheryl Ladd definitely felt down on herself after being in the bottom two during Elvis Night. However, she’s determined to pick herself up and move on. She and her pro partner Louis Van Amstel worked hard on their James Bond routine and are eager to show audience members what they came up with.
Tonight, the pair will perform a Rumba to “Diamonds Are Forever” by Shirley Bassey. But will it be enough to keep them out of the bottom two again?
Cheryl Ladd is trying to move on after a disappointing performance last week
The Elvis Night elimination really was a close call. Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli couldn’t agree on who to send home. Derek and Bruno wanted to keep Pasha Pashkov and Teresa Giudice, but Carrie Ann voted to keep Louis and Cheryl. Head judge Len Goodman intervened and voted to save Cheryl and Louis. They made it through to week three — but just barely. They’ll really have to step up if they want to make it to week four.
“It’s all so technical,” Cheryl Ladd confessed in a recent interview with PEOPLE. “It’s harder than I thought it was going to be.”
It’s definitely challenging to learn a routine in a week, hardly anyone can fault the 71-year-old actress for not pulling her routine off perfectly. But she still feels disappointed that she didn’t earn a better score during Elvis Night.
“It was not a good feeling, but I messed up this whole section,” the actress continued. “I was so mad at myself, so disappointed. It’s really hard to pick yourself up and say, ‘That’s over, don’t think about it anymore.’ You’ve got to take the consequences. But I sure don’t want to be in the bottom two again.”
For now, Cheryl Ladd is icing an injured knee and focusing on performing better this week. Her fans are hopeful that she and Louis can bounce back better than ever.
The Charlie’s Angels star has had her share of challenges throughout her career
Competing on DWTS is a brand new adventure for Cheryl Ladd, but she’s no stranger to challenges and hardships. There was a painful chapter in her career where she suffered sexual harassment at various acting jobs.
“I was about 19 and I did get chased around one desk,” the 71-year-old told Page Six. “I literally ran around the desk and out the door.”
Thankfully, Cheryl Ladd put her foot down and didn’t experience many more horrible incidents after that. Her fans are proud of her for coming forward with her story.
James Bond Night begins at 8 PM eastern time and 10 PM pacific time on Disney+. If you want Cheryl and Louis to make it to another episode, you have to vote. Be sure to check back in with TV Shows Ace for the latest Dancing With The Stars coverage.
