Cheryl will compete with pro dancer Louis Van Amstel, who returns after many seasons away from DWTS.

Cheryl Ladd opens up about harassment in Hollywood

Although it seems like things are finally headed in the right direction, there are still far too many incidents of sexual harassment and misconduct in Hollywood. And in the 1960s and 1970s, it seems like things were so much worse. Cheryl Ladd is opening up about her experience with harassment ahead of her big Dancing With The Stars debut.

“I was about 19 and I did get chased around one desk,” the 71-year-old actress told Page Six in a recent interview. “I literally ran around the desk and out the door.”

After that, Cheryl Ladd joked that she made it clear she wasn’t someone to be messed with. She went on to have a thriving acting career and landed her starring role in Charlie’s Angels.

“People forget that when you did a series like Charlie’s Angels, there were 29 episodes [a season],” she continued in the interview. “And not to mention, all the wardrobe fittings and all the interviews, we just worked ourselves to the bone.”

Cheryl Ladd still acts to this day, although her roles aren’t quite as frequent as they once were. She married her current husband Brian Russell in 1981 and they seem to have a healthy, thriving marriage.

What can fans expect from DWTS Season 31?

This year, DWTS features a very diverse cast. It’s full of TikTok stars, actors and actresses, and the first ever contestant to perform in drag. Many fans are disappointed that the show will only stream on Disney+ this year but remain hopeful performances will be later uploaded to YouTube.

Judge Derek Hough didn’t give away too many details but did offer a sneak peek into the new season. During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan, he confirmed there wouldn’t be any more commercial breaks. This means the judges will have more time to make comments.

“It’s actually quite nice. Like when Bruno [Tonioli] talks for an hour and I have three seconds to say something profound and amazing that changes people’s lives, but I only have three seconds, so you know,” Derek joked.
