Savannah Chrisley got in a pretty heated discussion with her father Todd on Instagram yesterday. While some fans agree she was really just trying to throw some shade back at her father, others wonder if she also revealed the real reason her relationship with Nic Kerdiles didn’t work out. Did Savannah Chrisley just admit what she really wants in life is a lap dog boyfriend? Did Nic Kerdiles get kicked to the curb for talking too much?

Todd Chrisley’s daughter shared a video of herself snuggling with a golden retriever on Instagram yesterday. In the caption, she asked if fans thought she should get a golden retriever. She proceeded to discuss some of the benefits of having a dog. As TvShowsAce previously reported, Todd was quick to shut the whole thing down.

Todd hinted his daughter was too self-centered for a dog and wouldn’t give any pet the attention the pet needed to survive. In the comments, fans agreed she should just consider finding a friend with a dog she could visit.

Savannah Chrisley fired back at her father that he could take his negativity somewhere else. She, however, proceeded to defend herself. She noted that there was a huge appeal in having someone that loved her without ever talking back. Todd doubled down on his opinion by responding again and suggesting he believed she would forget to feed a pet if she actually got one.

While most fans agree Savannah was throwing shade at Todd when she said she wanted someone to love her and not talk back to her, fans also thought the statement was very telling of her love life. Did Nic Kerdiles and Savannah Chrisley not work out because she was more interested in a lap dog boyfriend?

Todd admits he’ll always love Nic even if Nic isn’t in a relationship with his daughter.
