‘GMA’ Amy Robach Faces New Struggle
Amy Robach dealt with her latest struggle. The Good Morning America host revealed that she’s taking part in the Chicago Marathon. While she loves intense workouts and training programs, she’s never took part in anything like this before. In the next two weeks, Amy will leave her New York City apartment for the windy city.
She’s been sharing her journey on social media. Ahead of the marathon, Amy had to increase her training. She took part in a 20-mile course that she completed in less than three hours. It wasn’t easy for the seasoned athlete.
GMA host shares that the struggle is real
Amy Robach took to her Instagram Story to share her latest update with her followers. She admitted that the struggle is real when it comes to the marathon. The ABC News journalist shared a screenshot of her run map, which spanned across the Hudson River.
“Chicago Marathon in 2 weeks…and this was a STRUGGLE,” she wrote across the photo.
Amy found herself sidelined by her training. She had to take a break when she flew to Scotland and London for Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Amy took to her Instagram feed to share snapshots from her travels around the UK. One of the photos caught Dancing With the Stars contestant Sam Champion’s attention.
The photo featured Amy Robach wearing a black trench coat outside of Edinburgh Castle. She looked solemn as she reported what happened.
“Covering the Queen’s final moments in Scotland and awaiting Operation Unicorn… where the Queen will be taken here to Edinburgh…members of the royal family are expected to hold a vigil at St Giles Cathedral in the coming days,” she wrote in the caption.
Sam wrote: “Amazing how quickly you got there.” Some of the fans agreed with him. Some were in shock that Amy got there in time for the Queen’s final moments.
Amy Robach shares a rare family photo
This week, Amy Robach wanted to focus on family. The breast cancer survivor celebrated National Daughters Day. She took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of herself with her daughters Ava and Annie, as well as her own mom, Joanie.

She shares her daughters with her ex-husband Tim McIntosh. The news reporter is now married to actor Andrew Shue and is a stepmother to his three sons. Amy Robach has been very busy lately amid her marathon. She also co-hosts 20/20 alongside her friend David Muir.
