Paramount has already released the first Yellowstone Season 5 teaser trailer, and it promises that “all will be revealed.”

As if that is not ominous enough, a recent interview with Cole Hauser, who portrays Rip Wheeler, has fans concerned about the figure of this fan favorite.

Yellowstone Star’s Future Is Uncertain

Yellowstone Season 5 has already been given an ominous tagline of “all will be revealed. Therefore, it is understandable why fans of the series are now concerned about the future of one of their favorites. And with good reason.

According to Express, Cole Hauser, who portrays John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) right-hand man, had something disturbing to say about this popular character.

Last spring, at the SAG-AFTRA foundation, he was asked if the series showrunner, Taylor Sheridan, lets him know what is happening with Rip ahead of time.

Hauser replied with an absolute answer. “No, no, no, no.” He then shared why he doesn’t want to know ahead of time.

Personally just for me if you’re asking me, I like to go to work and actually live and grow with the character and not know the end at all, you know.

He clarified that he wants “to be able to find those moments and live really in those moments whether it’s with Beth, whether it’s with John…”

Here, Hauser addresses the rumors about him leaving. He doesn’t know what will happen in the future.

For a lot of actors, they don’t want to know the full character stories in order to remain authentic to that moment. In the cast of Cole Hauser, it makes sense he does not know what happens with Beth (Kelly Reilly), or John.

Taylor Sheridan Keeps Actors On Their Toes

Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan has previously stated that he has no plans to continue to Season 9. Therefore, the OG series has maybe four seasons, at the most left to tell his story. But, he says he knows how it will end.

However, at the same event, Cole Hauser admits that the series creator is full of surprises.

That’s what makes Taylor so amazing too, it’s like he has the ability to really keep you on your toes.

Those surprises include the many deaths in the series. Taylor Sheridan is not afraid of killing off characters and causing the fans some heartache.
