‘Arifureta’ Renewed For Season 3: Where To Stream Series
What if you suddenly find yourself in another world with no escape but to fight for your life against the demon clan? Well, this is what Arifureta: From Commonplace To World’s Strongest is all about! This novel series illustrated by Takayaki and penned by Ryo Shirakome was serialized by the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website starting November 7, 2013. The story also inspired an anime adaptation back on July 8, 2019. The series has so far created a total of 25 episodes in two seasons along with 4 OVAs as well.
Funimation Streamed Arifureta Season 1 With English Dub
Now, the makers have confirmed that a third season is coming along for the fans. Also known as Arifureta Shokugyō de Sekai Saikyō, on Saturday, its light novel series announced that the show has officially been renewed. As per Anime News Network, the first season was streamed on Funimation with English subtitles. However, an English dub only came later on July 22, 2019.

Funimation’s official plot for the series reads:
“Hajime Nagumo and his high school class are suddenly summoned to a fantastical land as heroes. But while most of his classmates have powerful stats and abilities, Hajime does not. Underappreciated and unprepared, he tumbles into the depths of a monster-infested dungeon where voracity and sacrifice are his only options. To thrive in this savage world, he’ll have no choice but to welcome the abyss.”
Arifureta Season 1 Hits A Snag Prior To Premiere
On December 3, 2017, the anime TV series adaptation was announced. Although it was initially intended to premiere in April 2018, it was delayed due to certain circumstances that weren’t revealed. Originally, the anime was to be directed by Jun Kamiya & penned by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. It was designated to be animated by White Fox studio with Atsuo Tobe as the character designer & chief animation director.

However, after the postponement, the makers announced that Kinji Yoshimoto will take over as the anime director. Moreover, studio Asread also joined the White Fox studio for animation requisites. The makers also announced replacing Atsuo tobe with Chika Kojima as the character designer. Not just that, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu was replaced as the scriptwriter by Shoichi Sato & Kinki Yoshimoto.
When Does Arifureta Season 3 Premiere?
While Season 1 aired from July 8 to October 7, 2019, on Tokyo MX, AT-X, BS11, and SUN with a total of 13 episodes. After Season 1 premiered on Funimation, it was moved to Crunchyroll after Sony acquired it. Arifureta Season 2 aired between January 13 and March 31, 2022, and can be streamed on Crunchyroll & iQiyi.
