‘600-Lb. Life’: Which States Have Eluded Dr. Now’s Reach?
My 600-Lb. Life fans have seen guests come from many different parts of the United States. People flock from all over to see out the help of Dr. Now, who is based in Houston, Texas. But what fans may not quite realize is that there are actually a few states that haven’t yet been represented on the show.
Which ones are they? Keep reading to see what Redditors uncovered.
My 600-Lb. Life participants come from many different areas of the country
By the time many My 600-Lb. Life guests reach Dr. Now’s office, they’ve exhausted all their options. Many are actually battling an addiction to food and just don’t quite know how to kick the habit once and for all. They come from many parts of the United States, proving that it’s a widespread issue.
But according to one Redditor, there are a handful of states that have never had a resident appear on the TLC show.
“Map of what states have had a contestant on My 600-LB Life Only 19 states And DC haven’t had a contestant on the show,” the Redditor wrote. Surprisingly enough, there was one area that hadn’t been reached yet.
“I am so shocked no one from WI has been on, as a Wisconsinite. We are the land of ranch, custard, cheese curds, and beer,” one Redditor wrote. Many other users echoed similar sentiments and felt very surprised that Wisconsin hadn’t made the list yet.
Notably, the deep south had really been thoroughly represented on the show.
“Down south I figure it is due to:
-
A lot of poor folks and unhealthy food is cheap.
-
A culture of fried food
-
Lots of fast food chains
-
It is so hot in the summer you don’t want to move or go outside
-
A “food is love” culture” another Redditor pointed out.

Where will the future of the show go from here?
For quite sometime now, My 600-Lb. Life fans have been waiting for any news or updates about the show’s future. So far, TLC is staying quiet about things. But fans might have a few reasons to hang onto hope.
Fans can’t help but notice that TLC is airing a lot of My 600-Lb. Life reruns these days. Is it possible they’re trying to get fans’ attention? An announcement about Season 11 may be just around the corner.
Stay tuned for the latest updates on Dr. Now, his former patients, and My 600-Lb. Life in general. Hopefully, there will be more news and updates to share as 2022 enters the fall TV season. Check back and see what happens next!
