The Today Show Host Savannah Guthrie Hits The Big Time
According to TODAY, Netflix announced a total of seven new programs the streaming giant is currently working on. One of the programs just happens to be an animated adaption of the bestselling children’s book series co-authored by Savannah Guthrie titled Princesses Wear Pants.
The Today Show host co-authored the book with Allison Oppenheim. The book was originally released in September of 2017. On Amazon, the Kindle version can be purchased for $9.99 or a hardback version can be purchased for just under $13. A year later Savannah and her co-author Allison released a sequel to their best seller called Princesses Save the World. Presently, a hard copy or Kindle version of the sequel are both just under $10.
On Amazon, Princesses Wear Pants has over 1,000 reviews and a perfect five-star rating. The sequel, Princesses Save The World, has just under 500 viewers. It, however, also has a perfect five-star rating.
When is this animated adaptation getting released?
Netflix has decided to tweak the title of the animated series naming it Princess Power. The streaming giant promises a 2023 release on the adaption of Savannah Guthrie’s children’s book. Sadly, it is far too early for a more concrete Netflix release date to be available.
Princess Power promises to offer young viewers exactly what the name suggests — a celebration of girl power. The animated adaptation hopes to teach young viewers what they do matters more than what they wear. Princess Power will follow the story of four princesses who look completely different. Despite being completely different, these princesses are able to come together and make the world a better place.
Unsurprisingly, Savannah Guthrie is elated that “this is really happening.” She proceeded to mention that all of the people involved in the process have worked so hard to make her dream a reality.
As Netflix subscribers know, the streaming giant has been hard at work filling its streaming library with Netflix Originals as opposed to continuing to pay for streaming rights to content belonging to other networks.

I think the Today show needs to fire both Savannah and Honda from the show. It takes away from the integrity of the show
