‘GMA’ Lara Spencer Hits Massive Curve Ball On Live Television

GMA host Lara Spencer was hit with a massive curveball on live television. Her co-anchor Cecilia Vega tried to hide it from the viewers at home.

On Thursday, September 1, Lara Spencer reported live from the U.S. Open from Flushing, New York. The Good Morning America host tried to show off her tennis skills. She proved that she’s no Serena Williams. Lara wore a navy blue blazer with a white camisole and matching pants while she bounced a ball off her racket.

The 53-year-old was hit with a massive curveball. She stood in front of the entrance of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center when she bounced the ball. Someone off camera decided to challenge Lara’s tennis skills. They threw her a massive curveball.

Another ball came her way as she bounced her own ball. Lara was caught by surprise as she dropped the ball she was bouncing off her racket. She tried to cover up by picking up the new one. Lara played it cool as she bounced the new ball off her racket.

The cameras panned back over to the NYC headquarters. GMA co-anchors Michael Strahan, Cecilia Vega, and George Stephanopoulos watched Lara Spencer’s blunder.

Cecilia assured her: “Nobody saw that Lara — nobody saw that!”

Another embarrassing moment took place last month. Lara didn’t recognize the crowd who was shouting her name. Comedian Tom Kelly warmed up the live audience for the GMA Summer Concert Series. Lara walked by the fans and ignored them.

Tom shouted into his microphone for the fans to clap for her. An insider told The Sun that Lara Spencer stood in the middle of the outdoor stage. She stood with her back to the crowd. Lara didn’t acknowledge them as they cheered her name.
