‘My 600-Lb. Life’: Christina Phillips’ Wonderful News
My 600-Lb. Life viewers often remember Christina Phillips as one of the show’s most dramatic transformations. The Season 2 guest weighed well over 700 lbs. when she met Dr. Now at his practice. But with time and hard work, she managed to lose more than 250 lbs.
But Season 2 aired quite some time ago. What’s Christina up to today? The TLC personality has some excellent news to share with followers. Keep reading to see more.
Christina Phillips turned her life around after a life of hardship
Most My 600-Lb. Life participants struggle with their relationship with food. Season 2’s Christina Phillips was among them. When viewers met her, she was only 22 years old and hadn’t left her house in two years. Her husband was less than supportive of her weight loss journey, which made things even more difficult.
But Christina did get her happy ending after all. She ditched her husband — along with over 500 lbs.
“It’s been pretty amazing having my life back. I’m able to do so much more now. It’s pretty great,” the TLC personality told PEOPLE back in 2017 after her dramatic weight loss. “Before I couldn’t walk eight feet without feeling like I was gonna die. Now, I could do just about anything I put my mind to.”
Christina went on to have skin removal surgery after having the bariatric procedure too.
The TLC personality can’t wait to welcome her new bundle of joy
At one point, Christina tragically developed anorexia and was so afraid to regain the weight she lost. But fortunately, it seems like she’s in a much better headspace. According to her Instagram page, Christina is now a mother to a son. She also adores her three nephews and reports that she’s “living life to the fullest.”
My 600-Lb. Life fans are delighted to see that Christina is doing so well now. But that’s not where the good news ends. She also recently revealed that she’s nearing the end of another pregnancy. She posted a photo of herself cradling her belly and beaming from ear to ear.
It’s been quite some time since Christina Phillips appeared on My 600-Lb. Life, but fans never stopped wishing her a lifetime of happiness. It seems as if she’s truly happy after struggling for so long.
