‘Bringing Up Bates:’ Layla Says Goodbye

If you didn’t know, Layla Rae is the two-year-old daughter of Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart. She will celebrate her third birthday in January 2023. She also has a four-month-old baby brother, Zade Patrick.
Though Bringing Up Bates was canceled by UPtv, fans still enjoy following Carlin and Evan’s family on social media and YouTube. Because of this, fans got to see the sad moment when Layla said goodbye this weekend.
Bringing Up Bates: Layla Says Goodbye
As we reported, Carlin and Evan recently had some visitors. Duggar fans will be happy to hear that Joy-Anna Forsyth brought her two kids, Gideon, 4, and Evelyn, 2, to see the Stewarts. She flew solo with her two kids from Arkansas to Tennessee.
During the visit, Carlin and Joy-Anna shared many sweet pictures of themselves and their kiddos hanging out. Though they don’t get to see each other too often these days, it certainly looks like the kids all hit it off and got along really well. They’re around the same age, so it’s perfect.
On her Instagram Stories, as she was leaving Carlin’s home, Joy-Anna filmed a video of the kids saying goodbye to each other. The Duggar daughter pointed out that the “kids played together so well.” Gideon and Evelyn hopped in the car to head off to the airport.
In the video, Joy-Anna prompts her kids to say goodbye and love you to Layla. After Gideon says bye, Carlin then asks Layla to do the same.
Layla says, “Gonna miss you.” The little girl has a sad look on her face as her buddies climb into the car. It looks like she’s already very close with Gideon and Evelyn and doesn’t want to see them go. Then, she quickly gets distracted and tells her mama that she’s “hot” in her outfit.
