‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 4 Renewed: What You Need To Know
Season 3 of Never Have I Ever just hit Netflix on August 12, 2022, and fans ate up the season. With most fans ready for more, the attention went to whether there would be another season on the streaming giant. Read on to find out what’s next for the series.
Netflix renewed Never Have I Ever for Season 4
There is good news and bad news for Never Have I Ever fans. There will be a fourth season, but it will be the shows last. This is good news because fans will get closure on the characters they have grown to love, but it is bad because this will mark the end of the story completely.
The news came via the show’s producers, and they actually announced it back in March, five months before the third season hit. “We’ve just been renewed for a fourth and final season, which we are absolutely thrilled about,” series creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher said in a statement. “We can’t wait to reveal all the steamy romance and hilarious adventures we have in store for you. Thanks to all our fans for your support – especially you #Bevi and #Daxton stans. We love you!”
There is no word on when Never Have I Ever Season 4 will hit Netflix. However, we could guess based on past seasons. The first season launched in April 2020. Season 2 arrived in July 2021 and Season 3 in August 2022. This means that Never Have I Ever should keep a similar schedule and hit Netflix in the summer of 2023.
Who will be in Never Have I Ever Season 4?
Maitreyi Ramakrishnan will almost surely return as Devi in Never Have I Ever Season 4. Also returning will be her three best friends, played by Lee Rodriguez (Fabiola), Ramona Young (Eleanor), and Megan Suri (Aneesa). As for the boys, Jaren Lewison will return as Ben, since he is now the main guy in Devi’s life. However, Darren Barnet might not be back as Paxton, since the character moved to Arizona.
Devi’s family will also be back for the fourth and final season. This means fans will get to see Poorna Jagannathan as Nalini, Ranjita Chakravarty as Nirmala, and Richa Moorjani as Kamala. Utkarsh Ambudkar will get more screentime as Manish Kulkarni, who is not only Devi’s teacher but also Kamala’s boyfriend. Devi’s therapist Dr. Ryan (Niecy Nash) will be back. Finally, we have to mention John McEnroe, who voices Devi’s inner monologue on the show.
What will the fourth season be about?
As for Never Have I Ever Season 4’s plot, it is hard to guess, but there are some ideas based on how Season 3 ended. Never Have I Ever Season 3 ended with a cliffhanger when Devi showed up at Ben’s house to get the “one free boink” he jokingly promised her. This means that Devi and Ben should explore their relationship further in the fourth season, and with Paxton leaving for Arizona, that opens up the possibility of them moving on.
Of course, the real plotline of Never Have I Ever’s final season is the fact it is senior year, and it is time for the friends to say goodbye and move on in their lives.
