‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown Explains Social Media Absence
Recently, Millie Bobby Brown revealed why an “unhealthy situation” led her to reduce her social media presence.
What did the Stranger Things star have to say about this?
Why Did Millie Bobby Brown Reduce Social Media?
After some time away from TikTok, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has now been open about her absence. According to ET, who reported on an interview the Enola Holmes star had with Allure, she had to recover from public “humiliation.”
This was before she started to date her current boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi, Jon Bon Jovi’s son. Before her current beau, she was involved in an “unhealthy situation.” She was involved with American TikTok lip sync star, Hunter Ecimovic.
How Hunter Ecimovic Created Toxic Situation With Millie Bobby Brown
Millie Bobby Brown had admitted she was in a relationship with Ecimovic, but cut it off in January 2021. However, a few months later, he claimed that the couple was involved in an intimate relationship.
He claimed that he “groomed” her, and even manipulated her life. Therefore, if they cut it off as she said, she would have been 16 years of age.
Originally, this was a situation that Brown dealt with on her own. Unfortunately, this blew up when the whole world knew. This was damaging to her reputation and her mental health.
Now, she calls it a “blip” in her life.
It was a year of healing When you get publicly humiliated this way, I felt so out of control and powerless. Walking away and knowing that I’m worth everything and this person didn’t take anything from me, it felt very empowering. It felt like my life had finally turned a page and that I actually had ended a chapter that felt so f****** long.
That is why she held back on her social media and allowed herself to heal.
Stranger Things Star David Harbour ‘Real Worry’ About MBB
David Harbour has watched his Stranger Things co-star grapple with fame. Therefore it is not a big surprise that the 47-year-old star was protective of the 18-year-old Millie Bobby Brown.
According to Page Six, which in August 2021 reported on Harbour’s interview on That Scene With Dan Patrick, Harbour has been concerned about his young co-star. “I’ve just always felt this kind of deep fatherly affection for her.”
He shared how he has watched her grow. MBB started to play Eleven when the Netflix series began.
Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young. I knew her before any of this big fame hit.
This interview was right after Hunter Ecimovic’s comments. So, it makes sense that he was concerned for her well-being, and this was at the top of his mind. “I have a real protective feeling for her. I have a real, like, worry.”
Moreover, as an adult, David Harbour understands that fame can be quite a struggle for a younger star.
I worry about her and the fame and all that she has to struggle with.
Thankfully, she seems to be moving on now.
