‘Today’ Did Savannah Guthrie & Hoda Kotb Bury The Hatchet?
Are Today cohosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb finally moving on from their behind-the-scenes feud? For quite some time now, viewers noticed that something is a little amiss between the anchors and begged them to put their differences aside for the good of the program. After all, no one wants to wake up and watch their favorite morning anchors bickering onscreen.
New evidence suggests the women are working together to move on and keep producing quality content for their fans. Keep reading to learn more.
The Today cohosts can put their differences aside for at least a little while
For several months now, rumors have been going around about Today anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. According to the rumor mill, the women just can’t stand each other. And what’s worse is that it’s hurting their professional onscreen relationship. Fans noticed that the cohosts even took staggered vacations so they didn’t have to share the desk with one another.
But now, it appears that Hoda and Savannah might be trying to do some damage control. The Sun reports that the Today cohosts addressed the ongoing feud in a “subtle” way.
According to the publication, Hoda and Savannah are generally seated far apart during discussion panels. Recently, they were seated much closer together. In the segment, they were saying goodbye to the long-time NBC correspondent, Pete Williams. No matter what’s going on behind the scenes, the cohosts can pull together to give their friend a proper send-off.
Now, fans hope that they can continue to move forward in a professional manner. In previous weeks, fans online even begged the women to put aside their issues with one another.
Will either Savannah or Hoda have to say goodbye?
Although both Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb have large fanbases, Today viewers agreed one of the women may have to go if they can’t move past their issues. Fans felt the onscreen tension really took away from the jovial onscreen dynamic that the Today show is supposed to have.
An insider allegedly told The Sun that “Savannah is the boss. After Matt Lauer was ousted, Savannah grabbed power, and she really wanted Willy Geist in Hoda’s role, but his ratings were just not up to par for the network.”
Other sources have claimed that Hoda’s other cohost Jenna Bush Hager is behind a lot of the drama. According to the insiders, Jenna allegedly will be friends with one woman while tearing down the other one. And it goes back and forth a lot.
No one can be certain what’s actually happening behind the scenes, but Today viewers hope the drama goes away sooner rather than later.
