‘Today’ Hoda Kotb’s Kindness Comes Back 10 Years Later

Today Show host Hoda Kotb’s kindness comes back 10 years later. She was emotional during a special segment. On Wednesday’s broadcast, Hoda met a fan in the audience who revealed that she was his biggest inspiration. The fan was named Nolan, who is a journalism student.

He reminded Hoda that they first spoke ten years ago. The touching moment took place in front of the NYC studios. All of the co-hosts stood outside during the segment. Craig Melvin searched for the memorable fan in the crowd. Read on to see what happens next.

Craig finally came across Nolan, who was excited to meet Hoda Kotb. He greeted Craig, who asked him how he was doing. Nolan had a big smile on his face. You can tell that he was a beautiful person with a big spirit.

Craig asked Nolan if he was a journalism student. Nolan confirmed that he’s currently a junior at Baylor University. He admitted that Hoda Kotb was his inspiration for getting into journalism.

“Yes, sir. I wrote into Hoda and Hoda inspired me to become a journalist and that’s why I’m pursuing my career,” Nolan said with a big smile on his face.

Hoda Kotb was obviously touched by Nolan’s story. The camera panned back over to her reaction. She tried to hold back tears, but it was hard. Her co-hosts looked over at her as they stood back and listened to Nolan’s story. He first corresponded with her ten years ago.

“You were gracious enough to write back and I was like, ‘Oh my God. Hoda wrote back,'” Nolan said.

She pushed her hair out of her face. Hoda Kotb stood there and cried. Nolan asked for a hug and she obliged. The two embraced as the crowd and her fellow co-hosts clapped.
