JoJo Siwa Offers Funny Look At Reunion With Abby Lee Miller
JoJo Siwa has a sharp sense of humor and she proved it once again when she let fans see her recent reunion with Abby Lee Miller. Many may recall Miller was her former instructor on Dance Moms.
The Dance Moms reunion saw JoJo and Abby Lee reunite at the premiere for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The entire reunion was awkward between the two of them. JoJo revealed she was expecting a “calm night” at the premiere before she saw Abby Lee.
JoJo Siwa and Abby Lee Miller’s awkward Dance Moms reunion
Abby Lee Miller has a complicated relationship with most of her former Dance Moms students. Thanks to years of alleged abuse, many students have moved on. Maddie Ziegler has said that she is finally at peace being away from Abby. However, one former student that refused to turn her back on Abby Lee was JoJo Siwa. The singer/dancer still credits her former teacher with all of her success.
That likely makes JoJo feel comfortable when she posted a TikTok video of her seeing Abby Lee at the premiere. The video had Abby Lee doing a voice-over where she said, “Now, I want to sit back and relax and enjoy my evening when, all of a sudden, I hear this agitating, grating voice.” As for the video, it showed JoJo using her phone for a selfie, and then, in the background, Abby Lee looks into the camera and smiles. On the screen during the video, JoJo wrote, “Me all ready for a calm night at the premiere of HSMTMTS… Plot Twist.”
JoJo captioned the TikTok with “Gotta love her though.”

Abby Lee Miller has struggled in post-Dance Moms life
While JoJo Siwa remains on good terms with Abby Lee Miller, many other kids from Dance Moms have distanced themselves from their former teacher. In a recent interview, Abby struck back at the kids and parents who she feels turned their backs on her.
“I don’t know how you don’t give credit to someone,” Abby Lee said in April. “They all, all of them, all the kids, all the moms, act as if I had nothing to do with the show nor my studio… And the kids block it out and they forget. And, ‘oh, it was toxic, blah blah blah… You remember those bags of money you were bringing home? Yeah. I’ll remind you of what it was.”
This was both a mix of the alleged hostile environment that Abby Lee had at her dance studio, as well as her legal problems. Those combined caused many in the industry to back away. In 2016, Abby Lee went to prison for bankruptcy fraud and failing to report $120,000 in Australian currency. She spent one year and a day in federal prison and then had two years of supervised release.
