‘AGT’: Freckled Zelda Teaches Importance Of Individuality
On the latest episode of AGT, Freckled Zelda mesmerized the confused judges. Some of the fans have been waiting for this moment for the past few weeks. Howie Mandel was one of the judges who teased her audition on Twitter.
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Howie made his big return to the NBC singing competition. The comedian broke down in tears as everyone chanted his name. The fans are happy to see him back.
Now, all of the attention is on a contestant named Freckled Zelda, who taught people the importance of individuality.
Who is Freckled Zelda?
Freckled Zelda made her big appearance on AGT this week. The judges were confused when they first saw her arrive on the stage. The singer is unlike anyone else that’s tried out for the show. She was dressed up as a fairy — complete in ethereal garb with pointy ears.
She even carried a “potato” flute, which she used during her audition. Freckled Zelda called herself a “music fairy.” Cruel judge Simon Cowell immediately judged her by her appearance. The 62-year-old looked at her cautiously.
Some of the judges appeared befuddled. They didn’t know what to expect. But, Simon was blunt about his initial thoughts. Freckled Zelda performed her rendition of “Colors of the Wind,” which blew away the celebrity panel. All four of them were in awe as they watched her sing.
Even the audience was into her performance and wanted more. They even stood up for applause. The singer felt emotional over the reaction to her performance. Then, she waited to see what the judges had to say this time around.
Simon admitted that she was “going to be terrible.” Once again, another singer taught the Brit not to judge people by their appearance. He then added, “But actually, you’ve got a really good voice.” Yet, Simon feels that she doesn’t need to perform with the flute.
AGT judge Heidi Klum shares her true feelings
AGT judge Heidi Klum offered her input next. The 49-year-old model told the musical fairy that she “nailed” her performance. Heidi agreed with Simon that she seemed too unique for the show.
“I thought the potato flute was really cool and you are unique and different,” Heidi added. “America’s Got Talent is a variety show, and we don’t all have to be the same.”
Howie loved that Freckled Zelda “showed us who you are with your voice and your being.” Sofia Vergara called it an “unexpected” audition and said her “voice is beautiful too.”

Freckled Zelda plans to keep the costume for the duration of the AGT. She confirmed that she wants to be a “100% fairy for the rest of my life.” All four of the judges gave her a yes to go to the live semi-finals. Even the AGT fans on Twitter were in love with her performance.
- “Freckled Zelda is a wonderful singer. I hope she makes it to the finals.”
- “She is so amazing! Definitely unexpected in a good way!”
- “Freckled Zelda gave me chills with her interpretation of Colors of the Wind.”
