Tino Franco Dishes Why ‘Bachelorette’ Rachel’s First Rose Meant So Much
Despite some fans thinking everyone is more into Gabby Windey on The Bachelorette, Rachel Recchia also had a great first night. Both women were perplexed when the men weren’t making any moves to kiss them.
Both of them in separate interviews talked about there being perfect moments for each of them. Tino Franco who received Rachel’s first impression rose saw an opportunity and he took it. A lot of the men who exited the limos made a comment or comparison to Clayton Echard. Both women didn’t want to relieve the past, but Tino found a way to bring it up in a romantic and healing way.
Tino Franco Reminded Rachel Recchia Of A Pivotal Bachelor Moment
Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey both had an emotional exit from Clayton’s season. After Susie left, he told them he loved both of them. This led to the now infamous breakdown on the stairs seen below.
When asked by Click Bait hosts why he took Rachel to the stairs, Tino said he wanted to help her reclaim that moment. According to Bachelor Nation, he proudly declared, “the stairs were all my idea. I saw memes and watched the whole YouTube clip of that Rose Ceremony. I had a feeling that since the way things went down for Rachel and Gabby, there would be a lot of negative talk about their last experience.”
He went on to say he thought making a new memory on the stairs would be good for her. Tino said he was glad it went well so she didn’t have two bad experiences on the stairs. Tino was the only man Rachel kissed. He said, “I wanted to tackle the hardest thing first and put a positive spin on something from last season.”
What Is He All About?
It makes sense Tino Franco would come in with a plan. He’s a project manager in his professional life, and his entrance on a piece of construction equipment spoke to Rachel immediately. She said she felt an immediate connection. A look at his Instagram as seen below shows Tino used to have a lot more hair.
He’s also a huge advocate for cancer research and treatment for children. His brother fought leukemia as a child, and the Ronald McDonald Foundation is very close to his heart. For Tino, it was Rachel from the beginning. He said, “from the second I took her hand, it just felt so comfortable.” He said the rose validated the connection he felt and he found her so easy to talk to. Tino caused fans to swoon and Rachel undoubtedly was smitten from the beginning.
