They have made a couple of appearances on their family members’ social media pages and YouTube videos. Jessa Seewald, Josiah’s sister, recently confirmed that the couple is doing well.

Now, Josiah and Lauren appear to be taking further action to keep their lives more private.

Josiah & Lauren Duggar shut fans out.

Josiah and Lauren’s Instagram profile is now private. Fans who already follow them are not impacted by this change, but those who don’t follow them must send a request. Then, Josiah and Lauren can choose who to accept as followers. Because they aren’t active on social media right now, they may not accept any of these requests.

On the Duggar Bates Confessions page on Instagram, fans are discussing this change.  As you can see in the snap below, their account is now private.

Counting On fans think this is pointless.

In the comments section of the confession post, fans are saying this doesn’t seem like an effective strategy if Josiah and Lauren Duggar are concerned about privacy. As you can see in the snap above, the couple has 756,000 followers. These people weren’t deleted from their followers when they made their account private. So, their account isn’t really private at all.

One fan comments, “Kind of pointless when they already have 756k followers. If they want privacy they’d be better off starting a new account and making it private.”

Then, they add, “They’ve only got 4 posts, seems much easier to just start again… if they even want social media at all 🤷‍♀️”

If Josiah and Lauren start posting again, 756,000 people already have access to their account. Other Duggars have created private Instagram pages. These profiles seem to be just for friends and family to follow rather than fans.

So, do you agree that it doesn’t make a lot of sense for Josiah and Lauren Duggar to have a private Instagram page now? Sound off in the comments below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for the latest Duggar family updates.
