Even though Dynasty is a popular series, it was more vulnerable to cancelations. It had a steep decline in ratings over the years. The only reason why previous seasons were renewed in the past was because of the money the show generated for CBS studios as part of its Netflix deal.

Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are the ones behind the series, including CBS Studios and Fake Empire. Schwartz and Savage worked with Revenge writer and producer Sallie Patrick and the show’s original creators, Esther Shapiro & Richard Shapiro, for an updated reboot of the classic Aaron Spelling-produced series.

The show follows the wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud over their fortune and their children. For some reason, the drama never gets old as the show continued to reinvent the wheel. There have also been multiple Crystals and two Alexises up to this point.

Despite the declining ratings, the show found a home on Netflix. People from around the world love all four seasons of Dynasty. It’s made for riveting television. Fans are still holding out hope that Netflix will acquire the show and bring it back for a sixth season.

When will Dynasty Season 5 drop on Netflix?

The global market is waiting to see when they can watch the fifth and final season of Dynasty. All 20 episodes of Season 5 won’t drop in the US until October 8, 2022, when Netflix finally gets its hands on the current season.

The final episodes of Season 5 will air on The CW on September 30, 2022. That gives it a little time to premiere on Netflix. Dynasty Season 5 will be available internationally in October 2022. There have been some instances when Netflix internationally has received new seasons of Dynasty around the same time as the U.S.
