Jill Dillard’s Baby Still In Hospital After Early Delivery: Is He Okay?
Derick and Jill Dillard’s baby is here! The couple shared the exciting news with fans on July 11. However, in their post, they revealed that the baby was born early and that he’s still in the hospital. What else have they shared about his early arrival and his health status?

In a blog post on Monday, July 11, Derick and Jill introduced their new baby to the world. He was born on July 7.
In their blog post, Jill and Derick shared their baby’s name, birth date, weight, and more. They have named him Frederick Michael and will call him Freddy.
He joins two big brothers, Israel, 7, and Samuel, 5.

Jill Dillard’s baby is still in the hospital: is he okay?
In the couple’s blog post, they gave fans details about their son’s arrival and revealed that he was early.
Derick wrote, “Frederick was set to arrive later in July, but he decided he wanted to come a little early (the day before big brother Samuel’s birthday!), so we had our planned C-section a bit before originally planned.”
In their blog post, Jill and Derick also noted that Baby Freddy is still in the hospital.
He added, “Both Jill and Frederick are healthy and are enjoying bonding while we look forward to bringing him home from the hospital soon!”
It sounds like Frederick is doing well despite his early arrival. It’s unknown why Jill Dillard’s baby can’t leave the hospital yet, but it doesn’t appear to be anything serious. They didn’t share any scary details or ask fans for prayers.
When Derick and Jill announced the pregnancy, they didn’t share the exact due date. So, fans only knew he was due in the month of July. It sounds like his due date was later in the month rather than near the beginning. So, he could have been up to three weeks early.
Fortunately, Derick and Jill Dillard’s baby seems to be doing well, based on the blog post. He was 7 pounds and 6 ounces at birth, so he’s not too tiny.
Hopefully, he will be able to go home very soon.
