On Instagram on the Duggar Bates Confessions page, a fan submitted a post about Derick and Jill’s baby’s name. They pointed out that the baby that they miscarried was named River. So, the baby’s name didn’t end with “el” like Israel’s and Samuel’s names.

This post sparked a discussion about the potential name that Jill and Derick might use for their baby boy. One fan recalls Jill and Derick’s naming pattern, which was discussed on TLC years ago. They originally planned to spell out “Israel” with their kids’ names.

So far, their kids’ names are:

  • Israel
  • Samuel
  • River

So, fans believe that they may use an “A” name next to stick with this pattern. But it’s unclear if they will select a name that ends with “el” because they didn’t do so for River.

One fan thinks this is a bit odd because Derick and Jill Dillard’s first child is already named Israel. The fan says, “If this is correct, then baby on the way would be starting with A. But I can’t imagine they would spell their children with the letters of Israel with naming their child, Israel.”

Another weighs in, “I agree. I do think they’ll go with an A name, but I think they’re go more modern and trendy. My guess has been Arlo.”

It won’t be long before the baby arrives and fans finally learn his name. So, we’ll soon know whether they use an “A” name.

So, do you think Derick and Jill Dillard will stick with the name plan they originally had and use an “A” name for their baby? Or do you think they will go a different route? Share your thoughts in the comments section below. And come back to TV Shows Ace for more Duggar family updates.
