Derick & Jill Dillard Welcome Third Baby Boy: Name Revealed
Former Counting On star and Duggar daughter Jill Dillard has welcomed her third baby to the world! She and her husband, Derick Dillard, recently shared their big news with fans. Keep reading for all of the details about their baby.
The Counting On couple reveals their family is growing.
Back in February, Jill and Derick announced to fans that they were expecting their third child. They already have two sons, Israel, 6, and Samuel, 4. Sadly, before conceiving this baby, the couple experienced a miscarriage. Then, after getting pregnant again, Jill and Derick both had COVID.
Fortunately, everything went well with this pregnancy. They revealed prior to the baby’s birth that they were having another boy. This is their rainbow baby, which is a term used to describe a baby born after a loss.
Throughout her pregnancy, Jill has been keeping fans up to date. She’s shared plenty of baby bump photos and let fans know how she’s doing.
In late June, Duggar cousin Amy King celebrated Jill Dillard and threw her a baby shower. After the shower, Jill said she felt much more prepared for her baby boy’s arrival.
Derick & Jill Dillard welcome their third son to the world!
Derick and Jill updated their family’s blog to reveal the news that their baby boy has arrived! The couple proudly announced, “‘Freddy’ Frederick Michael Dillard is here!”
The blog post was shared on Monday, July 11. He was born on Thursday, July 7. According to the blog post, the baby is 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and 20 inches long.
Derick and Jill Dillard shared more details and said, “Frederick was set to arrive later in July, but he decided he wanted to come a little early (the day before big brother Samuel’s birthday!), so we had our planned C-section a bit before originally planned.”
Finally, they added, “Both Jill and Frederick are healthy and are enjoying bonding while we look forward to bringing him home from the hospital soon!”

Of course, fans, friends, and family members are happy to hear that the baby arrived safely. They are sending their congratulations to Jill, Derick, Israel, and Samuel. It’s certainly an exciting time for the Dillard family.
