There’s Smokin’ Romance In UPtv’s ‘Love On Fire’
UPtv’s latest romance, Love On Fire, promises some sizzling romance. This new summer movie stars Tegan Moss (A Christmas Miracle For Daisy, The Charm Bracelet), Devon Alexander (Where Your Heart Belongs, The Santa Stakeout), Christopher Russell (Warming Up To You, Yellowstone Romance), Adina Insley (Greed: A Seven Deadly Sins Story), Loretta Walsh (When Calls the Heart, A Picture Perfect Wedding), Sarah Surh (Romance To The Rescue, Just One Kiss), John Cassini (Tribal, Chaos), Garry Chalk (Tribal, Chip and Potato), and Laura Soltis (Christmas Waltz, Five Star Christmas).
Hot In Love was the original title for Love On Fire. T. Booker James (Feeling Butterflies, Fit For A Prince) wrote the screenplay. Christie Will Wolf (The Making Of ‘Blonde And Blonder,’ A Valentine’s Match) is the director.
What Is UPtv’s Love On Fire About?
According to the UPtv synopsis, after a personal tragedy, Gia Summers (Moss) moves into a new home in the town of Maple Plain. She works for the town’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Although she knows no one in this tight-knit community, she immediately forms an unexpected relationship with her neighbor. Jim Dunlap (Alexander) is a single dad, firefighter, and all-around nice guy. She especially enjoys being with Jim’s adorable daughter. The pair become fast friends.
Moreover, Jim and Gia bond over food. He has a way with the grill, while Gia’s favorite place to be is in the kitchen. She loves to cook. Gia finds cooking calming and nurturing.
But, what is a conflict is Gia’s boss, Don Hamilton (Chalk). The fire department control their parking lot. The crew wants to build a gym. However, Don refuses to help out, because the fire chief won’t endorse his mayoral ambitions.
However, not everything in this neighborhood is about serious matters. There is a grill-off and a lot of good neighborly fun. Perhaps even an unexpected romance. But, what happens at Gia’s job could make a difference if this romance continues to sizzle, or if the fire is blown out before anything is ever started.

The premiere of Love On Fire is on Sunday, July 10, at 7 p.m., Eastern. Encore showings include Sunday, July 10, at 11 p.m., and Saturday, July 16, at 6 p.m., Eastern.

Devon Alexander Was Up For Leo Award For Love On Fire
Did you know that Devon Alexander was nominated for a Leo Award for his role in Love On Fire? Devon was up for the Best Lead Performance Male Television Movie. The winner was Carlo Marks in Making Spirits Bright.
It should be noted that Love On Fire director, Christie Will Wolf won Best Screenwriting Television Movie for High Flying Romance.
