‘OutDaughtered’ Canceled Or Renewed: Will The Busbys Return?
Adam and Danielle Busby of OutDaughtered shared a video on their YouTube channel answering the question everyone was dying to know: Did the show get canceled. The couple recognize this question is why everyone came to watch the video. So, of course, they were not going to immediately answer the question.
Adam teased this would be the final question they answered in the video because they wanted to get their fans to hang out and watch the entire 20-minute video. The very beginning of the video is a Q&A session featuring the girls. Then, the video shifts to offering fans an official update on Danielle Busby’s health. Finally, about 13 minutes into the video, Adam and Danielle spend the last 7 minutes of the video discussing whether OutDaughtered has been canceled.
OutDaughtered canceled or renewed: Will the Busbys return?
The short and sweet answer to this question is “no.” OutDaughtered has not been canceled. Adam and Danielle Busby, however, explain that filming a season of the series amid the pandemic was exhausting and time-consuming. According to Adam, it would normally take somewhere between three and five months to film a season of the show. With the pandemic, Adam explained it was taking nearly a year to film seasons of the show.
Moreover, the pandemic also put serious limitations on the family. Adam and Danielle explained that they like to get the family out of the home and film things somewhere other than the house. The pandemic, however, forced a lot of the series to happen at the house which was frustrating for the family. Adam and Danielle Busby explained that OutDaughtered has not been canceled. But, filming during the pandemic created a boring storyline.
So, when will the series return to TLC?
Adam Busby continued to explain to fans that between the girls going to school full-time and sports/extracurricular activities, the family just didn’t have time in their schedule for filming. Danielle chimed in to note that ever since they became a family of eight, they’ve lived their entire life surrounded by cameras. So, they just decided it was time to take a break. A break from the cameras.
Sadly, Adam Busby admits the family doesn’t really have a concrete date in mind for when they plan to return to the network. He, however, clarifies the family has no bad blood with production or the network. And, they will return to the network for a new season of OutDaughtered when it feels right.
For now, Adam promises they will stay active on social media and he will continue to post videos on YouTube for fans to enjoy.
So, the short answer is that technically OutDaughtered was NOT canceled. But, the series does not sound like it is returning to TLC any time in the near future. What are your thoughts on this update? Let us know in the comments down below.

I really miss the show outdaughtered, love y’all and miss seeing the girls, hope y’all come back soon.
Love the show
I don’t have 6 kids (I was 1 child of 6, I was the oldest girl (4th in kine): 3 older bros and 2 younger sisters…..but watching this show helps me to be patient with my kids and take each day or even moment as it comes. Hopefully ya all back in a few yrs. Life does get insane w/ extra curricular activities and that’s having 1 in heavy sports (he’s 21 now tho), I can’t imagine 6 schedules! Ya all are an amazing couple and great parents. You share your faults which most shows only show the happy. I really enjoy watching.
I should add, this is the ONLY reality show I watch. I don’t want to start on other reality shows and how unreal most of them are even tho it’s portrayed it’s their “reality”. Your show is an inspiration.
I miss the show , watching the girls grow up, I would love to have the show return .
I am joyed this show and I think all the girls are very beautiful I think the younger girls are seven years old now but they talk like they’re three. This is coming from a speech therapist and I am not a troll whatever that is.
I really, really miss seeing this show, but totally understand how difficult it must be to have cameras on you so much of your life. I just loved seeing these girls sweet little faces. All six of them. Good luck.
I miss this show so, so much!
