‘90 Day Fiance’: What’s Next For Pedro & Chantel?
90 Day Fiance alums Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett are officially over. Court documents show that Pedro has filed for divorce from his wife of around six years. There is much to unpack between the two but fans have even more questions. What will happen to the stars of The Family Chantel and where are they headed next?
A 90 Day Fiance Sad Ending
Pedro and Chantel had been having problems for some time. This season, the premise of their spinoff, The Family Chantel largely focused on their great divide. Chanel had been working toward her nursing degree for some time. Once she obtained it, her husband was under the impression that she would be making a large salary. Much to his dismay, this was not the case. She explained to him that she would have to work up the ladder. This was a bummer to him but it also meant that he was going to have to find a job, as well. When the season returned, the couple had a new home and Pedro had a new profession. He was now in real estate which he seemingly was doing quite well in.
Unfortunately, with his newfound success, he started to fight a lot with his wife. They were no longer being intimate with one another and he was calling Chantel lazy. Fans believed that this was all just for entertainment and for ratings. The two have had a very dramatic relationship since the beginning. They met when she was on holiday in the Dominican Republic so she would keep going back to visit her love. Though her family was skeptical about his intentions, Pedro proposed and they planned a life together in Georgia. Through infidelity allegations and crazy families, there was hope that they could make it. Unfortunately, this dream has been dashed.
Over But What’s Next?
According to TMZ, Pedro filed for divorce from Chantel back in May. However, the 90 Day Fiance alums actually separated in April. He also alleges that she took $257K from their joint bank account nearly a week before they separated. In documents that have been posted on Reddit, it says that there is a mutual restraining order. Now, one Redditor had this to say: “Divorce restraining orders pertain to shared assets/money and are included in most divorce filings. Basically it makes sure that the two individuals don’t take out a ton of their shared money and hide it so the other can’t get it, or sell shared property, etc. Way less scandalous that you think lol.” Therefore, it could be in direct correlation to Pedro trying to resolve the financial issue.
As for where they will end up next, they are in the middle of The Family Chantel. As to whether the divorce will play out for another season is anybody’s guess. Yet, fans have some predictions for where they would like to see Pedro and Chantel.

- “Don’t get your hopes up….there’s always The Single Life. (possibly for all three of them. Maybe even Winter and River, who knows.)”
- “They’ll each have their own spinoff now.”
