‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 Preview: Who Does Beth Hate As Much As Jamie?
When Yellowstone Season 4 ended, it seemed as if Beth Dutton had it out for one guy only. That is Jamie. However, there is someone she hates just as much. In a preview of what is to come in Season 5, actress Kelly Reilly talks about the person her character Beth is going to “destroy.”

Beth Has ‘No Respect’ For This Character In Yellowstone
Yellowstone Season 5 will not be premiering for another four months, but we already have a sizzling storyline coming. Speaking to TVLine, Kelly Reilly has shared a bit about the upcoming season by starting, “Beth wants her father to be happy.”
But, there is a problem here.
“She just has no respect for this particular woman. She sees Summer as an enemy, someone who has absolutely no respect for their way of life. [She and her fellow protesters] just come in with this very basic understanding, thinking that [ranchers] all just rednecks.”
Beth’s father’s (Kevin Costner) growing relationship with Summer (Piper Perabo) is becoming a thorn in her side. That is because Beth Dutton doesn’t respect Summer. She would even consider Summer to be as hated as Jamie (Wes Bentley).
Beth Is ‘Going To Destroy’ Summer
Now we know that Beth has a target on Summer in Yellowstone Season 5, Next, Reilly shared how far Beth will go to take Summer down. “Beth isn’t going to walk her through it.” Next, the British-born actress shared some chilling information.
She’s just going to quietly destroy her. And it’s so easy for Beth to do that. We know it’s so easy for her to do that! That capacity for violence and cruelty that Beth has in her is quite terrifying, actually.
What is in store for Summer? We can only guess what horrors Beth will put Summer through. But, will John save Summer? Will he do something to halt Beth? Or will Beth decide on a course of action that will forever destroy her relationship with her father?
Their relationship is now on fragile ground. However, Reilly explains that Beth loves to “provoke.”
Yellowstone Season 5 Is Going Back In Time
In addition to watching Beth take down another person she sees as a rival, there may be some opportunity to see how she got to this place. That is because there promises to be some flashbacks in Yellowstone Season 5. Josh Lucas is back as the younger John Dutton, Kylie Rogers as a young Beth, and Kyle Red Silverstein as Young Rip Wheeler.
Could these flashbacks help explain why Beth is so hellbent on making Summer’s life absolutely miserable? Could we get more insights into John Dutton?
No matter what, in the upcoming season, Piper Perabo’s Summer will be getting cozy with Kevin Costner’s John Dutton. That is when she finally gets out of jail.
