Real Reason Alyssa Webster Was Not At Brother Lawson Bates’ Wedding?
Bringing Up Bates fans have been talking about Alyssa Webster’s decision to skip her brother, Lawson Bates’ wedding. In May, Lawson married actress Tiffany Espensen in San Diego, California. While most of the Bates family was able to attend the event, Alyssa, her husband, John, and their four daughters, Allie, Lexi, Zoey, and Maci, were not there.
Shortly before Lawson’s wedding, Alyssa and John filmed a Q&A video for their YouTube channel. In the video, they addressed fans’ questions about Lawson’s wedding. Fans wanted to know if Alyssa and John were planning to attend.
In the video, Alyssa Webster explained, “I feel like this is a hard one because obviously he’s my brother and I would love to go to his wedding. But in the past year, we’ve already traveled to two weddings, and with the prices of things right now, it’s so expensive to travel.”
Alyssa and her family live in Florida, so making it out to San Diego would not have been easy.
However, fans think it’s even deeper than travel simply being expensive right now. So, why do fans think Alyssa and John really skipped the wedding?
Real Reason Alyssa Webster Was Not At Brother Lawson Bates’ Wedding?
In a new post on the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, a fan speculates on the reason Alyssa Webster didn’t attend Lawson Bates’ wedding in May. The fan writes, “I think the financial reason of why Alyssa didn’t attend Lawson’s wedding is that she’s kind of pissed that there is no more show (money).”
They also point out that John and Alyssa Webster have been making two YouTube videos each week since Bringing Up Bates was canceled.
In the confession, the fan also points out that Alyssa and John have still traveled recently.
Other fans are talking about how much it would cost to go to San Diego, California with their family of six. Between flights, lodging, meals, rental cars, and more, this wouldn’t have been a cheap trip. But fans believe she would have gone if the show had not been canceled.
